With the right mindset, tools, and skills you can literally do whatever you put your mind to.
On the flip side of that though, if your mindset is not in a great place you will probably struggle to see the good in a lot of things, and challenges might seem like they’re surrounding you and you can’t see a way forward.
So today, I am going to share with you 5 ways in which you can enhance your mindset and achieve even more success in your life, and business.
These 5 ways have been collated based upon our own experience, and that of our clients.
1. Embrace positive self talk
As humans we are so hard on ourselves, you’ve heard it all before…“I weigh too much”, “I shouldn’t have eaten that”, “Why can’t I be more like Johnny, he is so good at presenting, I’m just rubbish”, blah, blah, blah.
Talking negatively about ourselves for a prolonged period of time has a knock-on effect on
our health & wellbeing.
We struggle to see the good in ourselves and we’re always comparing ourselves to others, Who needs enemies to put us down when we’ve got our own good-selves to do the job perfectly for us?!
Let’s try and turn the tables on ourselves, start today because tomorrow never comes!
Take a couple of minutes to just jot down some really positive things about you; things that you’ve accomplished, the things that you have done for other people, etc. This will help to remind you of the unique amazing person that you are.
Also, when talking with others (or to yourself) make an effort to turn any negative words into positive ones. The more negative words that you can cut out, the more positive you will feel.
2. Keep a gratitude journal
Journalling really is something that is great for helping with a positive mindset as it allows you to get everything out of your head and onto paper.
Take a few minutes each day to note down some of the things that you are grateful for. These don’t have to be big things, they can be small things too.
You could buy yourself a journal, or just use an ordinary notepad and pen to do this.
3. Set realistic goals
As an entrepreneur, it is so easy to become overwhelmed with things, but setting really clear and realistic goals will be sure to help you in maintaining a positive mindset, and keeping overwhelm at bay.
As with the gratitude journal, these don’t need to be big (not unless you want to anyway).
Think about where you want to be, how you can get there and who can help you. It doesn’t have to be you doing everything!
Having realistic goals set will help you in maintaining a positive mindset especially as you start to move through the stepping stones that take you from where you are today, to where you want to be!
4. Treat your body and mind with the respect that they deserve
Self care is important so exercise, eat well and reduce stress levels. Read, listen to music, step out of your comfort zone and take in new experiences. These are all things that you can do to start looking after your body and your mind better.
Your body and mind need fuel and to be treated well so that it can take you on this wonderful life journey of yours. You wouldn’t be able to drive a car if it was broken or had no fuel in it, your body and mind are the same.
5. Surround yourself with positive people
Seek out and nurture relationships that make you happy. Those relationships that bring you sadness or negativity are not welcome anymore.
Surrounding yourself with positive and engaging people will help you to up-level your mindset, and aid in you becoming a better version of you.
This is all about you reframing your mindset for success.
